The Brief...

This project centred around transforming the courtyard of a contemporary barn conversion into a calm and inviting outdoor sanctuary.

The clients wanted a garden that respected the character of the historic building while introducing a modern, understated elegance. Spaces for entertaining, quiet reflection and everyday living were carefully woven together, with planting used to create privacy, soften architectural lines and frame views across the surrounding countryside.

Inspired by traditional Japanese garden principles, the design celebrates simplicity, balance and a strong connection between home, landscape and nature.
